The B Tech / BE Admissions will be based on AIEEE (All India Engineering / Pharmacy / Architecture Entrance Examination. Admissions to NIT's (NITK/Other NITs) will be based on the applications submitted for AIEEE. For admission related information , please contact the NIT of your region.

Undergraduate admissions are on reciprocal basis regionwise.
:: 50% of the students from the Region of NITK Surathkal will get seats in NITK. The remaining 50% will get distributed over the other NITs on a reciprocal basis ( in the sense that say if 10 students from a specific region get admission in NITK , then 10 students from the region of NITK will get admissions in the NIT of that region)

Admission:
The status of the candidates admitted to the Ph.D. Programme shall be classified under any one of the following categories:
a) Full-time Institute Research Scholars
b) Full-time Research Scholars paid by Government/ Semi-Government organizations/QIP/EFIP
c) Full-time sponsored candidates
d) Part-time Institute Faculty/ Staff
e) Part-time Project Staff
f) Part-time External Candidates
g) Full-time Self financing Candidates
h) Full-time Study leave candidates
